(STEPHEN SCRAGG) PARISH GAMES REP BILBROOK

Sunday 7th April was the day of the BADMINTON Competition

BILBROOK entered a full team of talented youngsters, consisting of Emma Woolley (Team Captain), Laura Bellingham, James Woolley and Thomas Bellingham

A very large turnout of parishes made the event very competitive. In the ladies doubles the ever confident Bilbrook team played with exceptional courage, against more mature opposition, both Emma and Laura producing some very profesional match play. The team finishing a very highly rated 6th place.

Onto the mens doubles - both James and Thomas played five very highly competitive games resulting in almost 'fitness wins over maturity', the latter being more succesful. Never-the-less both players played with courage and conviction, with the lads also finishing in sixth place.

It was great to see such a young team representing the BILBROOK parish and producing great results. Bilbrook have now moved up to sixth place on the leader board with our joker still to play and the better team games still to come.
