Hi,
I am calling from The
Pension Service in Wolverhampton. I am
a Partner Liaison Manager working within the local service, which aims to
provide a much needed and better service for people over the age of 60 within their
own community. I am enclosing an
attachment which gives an overall picture of our service and wondered if it
would be of interest to the readers on your website.
If I can be of any other
help to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Pensioners in South Staffs can pop along to their local library to access the latest benefits advice.
The Pension Service’s local team for Wolverhampton has set up a series of regular benefit advice sessions for pensioners at various locations in parts of South Staffs.
Libraries and other locations are being used for the surgeries, which are open to any existing or future pensioners who have a query or needs advice on retirement pension, minimum income guarantee or any other benefits. They can drop in on the day to see a dedicated member of staff from the Pension Service for free and confidential advice. The Local Service team will also arrange to see customers by appointment where the Pension Service needs to interview the customer to further their benefit entitlement.
The Pension Service are committed to improve their service to pensioners, particularly those who are unable to deal with the Pension Service by telephone or letter, by seeing and talking to them in places in which they feel comfortable and which are convenient for them to get to.
If any member of the public is interested in attending one of the advice surgeries, they can get details of their nearest surgery by telephoning 0845 606 0265.
The nearest surgery within your area is at Codsall Library, Wolverhampton Road, this is held on a Friday from 10.00am –12.00pm, next dates being 18th July, 1st & 15th August and every following fortnight.
The local service team are also available to give talks to groups of pensioners, giving them an insight into the new Pension Service, general advice on benefits and forthcoming changes to the Pension Service. If you run an “over 50’s” group or are a member of a group and would like someone to attend one of your meetings, please telephone 0845 606 0265 and ask for the local service section to arrange a date and time.
