InterParish Games

I have been provided with some information about the Interparish Games, a series of events that I have to confess I hadn't heard of. Steven Scragg has provided the text below:

Here is a basic run down about the games

1.There are 22 different sports represented in the games
2.Almost every parish in South Staffs is represented
3.Every parish has a representative whose responsibility it is to gather a team in the 22 different sports to compete for his or her parish (it is my responsibility to gather teams for Bilbrook
4.Each team will be given points according to what place they finish
5.All events take place between February and June
6.There is an annual presentation for all the parish teams in November

The first event Table Tennis took place on 23rd February at the cheslyn Hay Table Tennis Club with almost 12 teams entering. Bilbrook was very well represented with the very awsome family team of The "ROGERS" made up of father and 2 sons , a very good days table tennis for everyone who played but Wheaten Aston taking the honors closely followed by Perton and Bilbrook who took 3rd place Ken Rogers for representing Bilbrook.

Sunday 3rd March Indoor Bowls Jubilee Hall Brewood The Bilbrook squad Bowling team made up of the brilliant Edith and Sue played brilliant only loosing there 1st game to Brewood . Every team played well and very close matches were battled out but the favorites for the 5th time running was our very close rivals Codsall. Bilbrook finishing a very close 2nd. Thanks to the Bilbrook team for a great team performance.

Bilbrook were not represented in Darts and chess on this day so if there are any budding darts or chess players from Bilbrook get in touch.
